ChromaCon Brand Design

Digital  •  Fall 2023

ChromaCon is an imagined gaming convention where diversity takes center stage, marginalized voices are uplifted and  gaps in the gaming world are bridged, all wrapped in a crisp, modern brand.

I kicked things off with creating mood boards and sketches that set the tone: bold, inclusive, and unmistakably fresh. Using Figma, I built a Brand Identity Guide packed with custom logos, fonts, color palettes, and patterns that make the event pop. From there, I mapped out every detail, designing wireframes that evolved into a fully interactive website, complete with schedules, mission highlights, and a fun little merch section that you’d want to bookmark!

To make ChromaCon tangible, I created exclusive merchandise that people actually want to wear—a professionally finished tote bag and custom pins that spark conversations! The final website lives on the WYSIWYG platform Cargo, keeping everything streamlined and accessible for visitors who want to dive deep into what makes this convention different.

Brand Identity Guide

The star-shaped logo anchors the brand, supported by an energetic color palette that captures the convention's lively spirit. I developed the entire visual system including selecting fonts, merch concepts, patterns, and textures, all inspired by gaming culture. A mood board and layout guidelines tie everything together, creating a bold identity that's as inclusive and dynamic as the gamers it represents.

Sitemap & Wireframes

I developed ChromaCon's website structure through low and high-fidelity wireframes, mapping out the core pages including home, about, FAQ, daily lineups, and shop. Starting with basic layouts to nail down user flow, I then evolved them into detailed designs that showcase ChromaCon's vibrant gaming identity.
