College Players Theater Marketing

As Marketing Coordinator for ASUSF College Players at the University of San Francisco, I breathed life into our student-run theater organization's presence across campus! I took our marketing from basic to showstopping through campaigns that actually connected with students.

I crafted everything from social media content to printed materials - membership cards that students proudly kept in their wallets, playbills they actually read before shows, and brochures that didn't end up in trash cans. My TikToks got genuine laughs (not just courtesy ones), Instagram reels that pulled in real engagement, and my posts convinced people to choose live theater over Netflix on Friday nights.

For our 2024-25 season, I developed distinct visual identities for each production, collaborating with the campus Graphics Center to plaster the university with posters that stopped people mid-walk.

We also went ~viral~ on this journey!
Our production of "The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals" (which also happened to be my directorial debut) hit 15k YouTube views shortly after uploading— faster than anyone could have expected. Not too shabby for student theater!




The secret sauce wasn't just having pretty posters on every wall... even though they were really good. It was speaking to our campus in their own language!



Rocky Horror Picture Show

A wickedly fun social media campaign that brought the campy cult classic to campus life! Created thumb-stopping content across various platforms, including making some trending TikToks, behind-the-scenes Instagram reels of rehearsals, and story updates that built the antici... pation for this well-loved production.




Fundraising

A sweet and simple social media campaign that turned doughnuts into hundreds of dollars! I crafted mouth-watering posts that successfully rallied the campus community to support theater through everyone's favorite glazed treats.



The Skin of Our Teeth

A bold social media campaign that brought a timeless, apocalyptic classic to a whole new generation! I developed engaging TikToks and reels that highlighted the play's relevant themes, showcased some behind-the-scenes footage, and created buzz around this production!




The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals

Speaking of apocalypses, I created a social media campaign for this hilarious horror-comedy musical, leading to packed shows and the College Players YouTube blowing up with love, comments, and thousands of views.

Dynamic posts that maintain audience engagement between productions! Content ranges from the yearly board introduction, events, and updates, keeping our community connected to the magic of live theater year-round.
